PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain resin particles which are easily broken up when mixed with a platicizer, give a paste exhibiting a low viscosity under a high shear rate, and can give a good molded foam by selecting a vinyl chloride polymer contg. a specified proportion of particles having a specified particle size or lower. SOLUTION: The resin particles contain 0.1-1.0 wt.% particles having particle sizes of 0.15μm or lower and are produced by mixing a water-base dispersion of a vinyl chloride resin for paste processing with a hardly water-soluble org. liq. (e.g. di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate) incapable of dissolving or swelling the resin to separate the resin as aggregates from a water phase and drying the aggregates. A batch-type mixing vessel is suitable for the above mixing. Pref., the mixing power per unit vol. of the mixer is 1 kW/m<3> , and the product of the power and the mixing time is pref. 4 kW.hr/m<3> or higher. |
