PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output and exhaust emission control performance by constituting, as one cycle, eight cycles of a first intake stroke, a compression stroke (fuel injection and ignition), an expansion stroke, a first exhaust stroke, a second intake stroke, a second exhaust stroke, a third intake stroke, and a third exhaust stroke. SOLUTION: A cylinder fuel injection eight cycle gasoline engine is formed in such a constitution that eight cycles such as a first intake stroke, a compression stroke (fuel injection and ignition), an expansion stroke, a first exhaust stroke, a second intake stroke, a second exhaust stroke, a third intake stroke, and a third exhaust stroke are set as one cycle. An intake stroke and an exhaust stroke are carried out each of three times by one explosion (combustion), and thereby, it is possible to improve combustion efficiency, and it is also possible to improve exhaust emission control performance comparing with a four cycle engine in a prior art, since exhaust gas can be eliminated from the inside of a cylinder when a stroke is transferred from the exhaust stroke into the intake stroke.
