PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon material having two-dimensional ring like cycle type electron structure different from a conventional one-dimensional electron structure by carrying out a heat treatment of a carbon material deposited like a curve in a nonoxidative atmosphere at a specific temperature. SOLUTION: This carbon material is produced by carrying out a heat treatment of a carbon material deposited artificially to have a bent surface in a nonoxidative atmosphere at >=1,500 K, preferably 1,550-2,800 K for 5-20 min. The carbon material carried by a graphite has (√3×√3)R30 deg. symmetry property to the crystal structure of the graphite base, and two dimensional ring like cycle type electron structure of circular shape, horseshoe shape or parentheses shape having a diameter of a carbon six-membered ring. The mean of having (√3×√3)R30 deg. symmetry property to the crystal structure of the graphite base is that the carbon material has the length √3 times as large as the atomic sequence of the graphite base and has the bearing 30 deg. rotated to right from the bearing of the graphite, and the mean of having the diameter of the carbon six membered ring is that the diameter of the ring-like part of the ring like cycle type electron structure is equal to the diameter of the carbon six-membered ring. |
