<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make clear the sharing of functions for an image display device, etc., and an operating system which controls an information processor and to show the different display attributes in every specific area set on the display screen of the image display device by using a communication means which receives an inquiry signal from the outside to inquire for the display capability. SOLUTION: A ROM 112 of an image display device 110 stores the information on the device 110 which shows the display capability to change and show the display attribute of a specific area to decide whether the device 110 contains a specific area display attribute conversion means 113. The means 113 changes the display attribute of the specific area set on an image display element 114 of the device 110. A USB controller 115 of the device 110 serves as a communication means which transmits and receives an inquiry signal to inquire for the display capability to change and show the display attribute of the specific area set on the display screen and also a report signal, i.e., an answer of the inquiry to and from an information processor 100 based on a USB standard and then receives the area attribute information from the processor 100.</p> |
