<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grille removal device of an air conditioner which can be held and removed easily with a specified angle by turning a grille and which is designed to prevent the grille from falling by engaging the upper part of he grille which removes the support shaft therefrom, with a front panel. SOLUTION: A bearing 4 comprises a horizontal groove 4b, which opens the front end of a front panel 5 and a slanting groove 4a which has lowered the height of the rear part. When a grille 2 is mounted, a support shaft 3 is inserted into the horizontal groove and moved to the rear end of the slanting groove and supported pivotably, thereby turning the grille so that locking parts 6 and 7 may be locked. When the grille is turned with a specified angle, the grille is adapted to be held with holding means 8a and 9a. When the grill is removed, the support shaft is moved from the slanting groove to the horizontal groove with transfer means 2a and 5b provided on the front panel and the upper end of the grille. Even in the case when a finger comes off from the grille by error, a suspension piece 2b is engaged with the engagement piece 5c so as to prevent the grille from falling down.</p> |
