PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize power consumption at respective hand sets without increasing power consumption at any specified hand set by turning a certain hand set to a temporary base unit and transmitting a connection request signal to the hand set on the side of call termination even in the case no unit exists. SOLUTION: When a call originating side hand set 3 is powered on, a carrier monitor for control is originated to a base unit 1 and by originating this carrier monitor for control, it is discriminated whether a base unit 1 exists or not. When it is discriminated the base unit 1 exists, an intermittent receiving operation is performed between the call originating side hand set 3 and the base unit 1. Next, when it is discriminated no base unit 1 exists, it is discriminated whether the temporary base unit exists or not. When the temporary base unit exists, a control signal is transmitted to this temporary base unit, the intermittent receiving operation is performed. Besides, when it is discriminated no temporary base unit exists, the function of temporary base unit is executed from the function of hand set. Further, it is discriminated whether the other hand set exists or not and when the other hand set exists, temporary base unit operation is performed. |
