<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of strong pressure contact of a presser ring with a connecting pipe so as to improve the telescopic performance by providing a locking projection, on which an opening surface of a tip of each presser ring and a stopper provided at an intermediate part of a connecting pipe can abut, in opposite opening ends of each spherical ring. SOLUTION: When any one of water-line pipes connected to a case 1 is displaced downward by the settlement of ground or the like, a connecting pipe 6 and a spherical ring 2 are relatively slid for extension and shrinkage, and while the spherical ring 2 is turned in the case 1 so as to oscillate the connecting pipe 6 and so as to absorb the displacement of the water-line pipe. At this stage, when the connecting tube 6 is oscillated to the maximum, a tip surface 5a of a presser ring 5 abuts on an inclined stopper 13 of an annular projection 14. Consequently, direct and strong abutment of the presser ring 5 on the peripheral surface of the connecting pipe 6 is prevented, and a little clearance required for sliding is left between the spherical ring 2 and the connecting pipe 6. In this condition, when the force in the axial direction is applied to the water-line main pipe, the connecting pipe 6 is easily extended and shrunk without generating a resistance.</p> |
