PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make combustible spatters settled and varnished without drawing them to the side of a dust collector so that only safe dusts without containing kindling sources can be collected, by erecting a suction duct vertically on the top surface of a dust collecting hood so as to communicate therewith and setting the height from a dust generating source of each work to the upper end of the suction duct and air velocity in the suction duct to specific values. SOLUTION: If a welding work is performed for a work 3, most of spatters generated from a dust source settle on a floor surface in a dust collecting hood 1 under gravitation or run against an inner wall surface of the dust collecting hood 1 or a baffle plate 6 so that the spatters are removed or settled. And even if spatters get into a suction duct 7, since the air velocity in the duct 7 is as low as 7 m/sec or less and the height of the top end 7s of the duct 7 is set to 3.5 m or higher which is higher than a maximum rising height of the spatters of 3.3 m, the spatters can be prevented from getting into the duct even if there is no pre-filter and fumes accumulating on the pre-filter are not ignited and the manufacturing cost can be reduced. |
