PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately adjust the positions of indication and luminescence and bring about elegance with an indication having depth and solid image by providing a glass substrate mirror surface formed in one in an electroluminescence (EL) layer making luminous layer emit light with an indication part for hour digits and the like. SOLUTION: An EL layer 21 is constituted by layering a back surface electrode layer 22, an insulation reflection layer 23, a luminous layer 24, a transparent electrode layer 25 in turn. At this moment, a thick transparent glass substrate 26 is formed in one on the EL layer 21 surface. The glass substrate 26 is desired to have a thickness of 0.3 mm or more, to be hardened, to be fabricated as mirror surface of the upper and lower surfaces and to be provided on the upper surface with an hour digit indication part 27. The indication part 27 is formed by printing on the glass substrate 26 or pasting a metal piece. Thus, as a thick glass is empolyed in the indication base, heat treatment in the fabrication process does not cause distortion and the position of luminescence in the EL layer 21 and the position of the indication part 27 can be accurately adjusted. Also, as the upper and lower surface of the glass substrate 26 are fabricated as mirror surface, an indication with depth and solid image becomes possible. |
