PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make extremely simple and completely automate library lending operation by displaying a lending operation process on a monitor device and recording an updated lending history in a memory of a lending management system. SOLUTION: When a user carries a book and passes through entry/exit gate devices 7 and 8, the registration number of the RF-ID book classification label of the book and the lending history of a noncontact ID card are read out by readers 2 and 3 respectively to inspect the lending history, and then the lending history of the noncontact ID card 50 of the user is updated. Then the lending operation process is displayed on the monitor device 5 and the updated lending history is recorded in an external storage device 14 corresponding to the memory of the lending management system. Consequently, the book lending operation is made extremely simple and automated almost completely. |
