PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of shower water quantity or water pressure even when a filter in which purifying agent such as activated carbon is charged to eliminate residual chlorine is installed on a compact shower device of a shower head type. SOLUTION: A bowl-shaped filter 6 in which purifying agent 18 is charged is installed on a shower head 2 to direct a mesh strainer 7 toward a shower port 5 side. An inflow guide 17 is disposed to let shower water flow from a side circumferential part of the mesh strainer 7 of the purification agent-charged filter 6 to the inside of the purifying agent-charged filter 6 so as to agitate the purifying agent 18, and shower water is supplied from the shower port 5 without pushing it to be collected to choke the mesh strainer 7.
