PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fuel amount from being differed between cylinders due to delivery pulsation caused by a single cylinder pump. SOLUTION: A cylinder injection internal combustion engine consists of a single cylinder pump 51 comprising a fuel chamber 55 which is provided with a high pressure fuel pump to feed high pressure fuel to a fuel injection valve and to which fuel is fed by a high pressure fuel pump: a housing 52 consisting of a part of a fuel chamber 55; a plunger 53 slidably arranged in the housing 52 through drive of a cam; and a cam drive means 60 which has a cam part 58, making contact with one end of the plunger 53, rotationally drives the cam part 58 through the rotation force of the crank shaft of an engine, and effects suction and delivery through reciprocation of the plunger 53. The number Y of cam crests of the camp part is set to satisfy a formula of 2×Y×J=K×n, wherein J is a pump reduction ratio, K is the number of cylinders of this engine, and (n) is a positive integer.
