PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base body for a long-length photographic film which consists of a polyester comprising ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units and ethylene terephthalate units and does not produce wrinkles when heated. SOLUTION: This base body consists of a long-length polyester film having repeating units comprising 70 to 90 mol% ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units and 10 to 30 mol% ethylene terephthalate units, and having 110 to 128μm film thickness. The dimensional changes of the film in the width direction and in the longitudinal direction ranges -0.6 to 0.6% at 180 deg.C and -0.5 to 0.5% at 120 deg.C.
