发明名称 METHOD FOR REFORMING DROSS IN CONTINUOUS CASTING OF COPPER ALLOY
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably reduce the casting defect caused by developed dross, to simplify the casting work and to improve the yield by adding chemical for promoting the producing of BeO in an alloy and making a specific value or more of the ratio of BeO with a specific equation in the dross produced in a continuous casting mold. SOLUTION: At the time of continuously casting a beryllium copper alloy, in this alloy, as the producing promotor of BeO, one or more kinds among Be carbide, Ca and Zr are added in the range of 2-100 ppm Be carbide, 2-500 ppm Ca and 100-500 ppm Zr to 0.1-0.3 wt.% Be are added at near the molten metal surface in the continuous casting mold. Then, the ratio of BeO i.e., [BeO /(BeO+CuO)]×100% is made to >=99%. In the case this BeO ratio is <99%, the sufficient reducing effect to the harmful action of the dross can not be obtd.
