<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and method for function allocation which actualize a simple user interface speedily and flexibly meeting users' needs without any rise in cost. SOLUTION: It is made possible to freely set functions which are effective even in modes other than a setting mode to selection keys 19 and 20 which are made effective only in the setting mode for the setting and adjustment of various functions and ineffective in a normal video display state as a user desires. For example, a luminance adjusting function, a contrast adjusting function, etc., can be assigned to the select keys 19 and 20. Consequently, such troublesome operation that a target function is selected after a main menu screen is displayed like before becomes unnecessary and an adjustment screen for the assigned functions can be displayed directly with the selection keys 19 and 20 ON in the normal video display state, so that target function adjustments can be made speedily and easily.</p> |
