PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately set a pulse width at the initializing. SOLUTION: A laser diode 207a is emitted in accordance with predetermined image data and a quantity of the light is detected by a photodiode 207b to be supplied to a control section 205. The control section 205 controls a pulse width modulation section 202 so as to match the quantity of the light with a target value (a control operation of the pulse width). The control information that is used in the control operation for the pulse width modulation section 202 is stored in a non-volatile memory 210. At the initializing, the control operation of the pulse width is executed or the control information is read from the non-volatile memory 210 corresponding to a condition of a switch 212, then the pulse width is set in accordance with the control information obtained thereby. |
