PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for turning a picture for a device using a set of dither bit maps designated to minimize the generation of a half tone pattern to be halftone by including a step for addressing, etc., a dither bit map selected at the position of a pixel in terms of a module in order to obtaining an output halftone picture value to each pixel of a digital picture. SOLUTION: This method consists of each steps selecting the dither bit map corresponding to an input pixel value with respect to the pixel of the digital picture and addressing the dither bit map selected at the position of the pixel in terms of a module in order to obtaining the output halftone picture value to each pixel of the digital picture. Inputted pixel value I (x, y) is used for selecting which dither bit map to use for the pixel with respect to each x-y pixel position. A module arithmetic unit 40 is used for deciding indexes xd and yd to be used for addressing the dither bit map selected for deciding an output pixel value O (x, y). |
