PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic liq. developer excellent in aging stability of the electrostatic chargeability of toner particles by incorporating specified colored fine particles. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic liq. developer contains at least colored fine particles (toner) contg. 0.5-5.0 wt.% barium sulfate of <=0.3μm particle diameter and an electric insulating liq. medium. Since the barium sulfate is contained in the toner, the aging stability of the electrostatic chargeability of the toner is improved, stable image density is attained over a long period of time and the increase of edge effect with the lapse of time is suppressed. The particle diameter of the barium sulfate is >0 to about <=0.37μm and it is preferably made as small as possible in the available range. When the amt. of the barium sulfate is <0.5 wt.%, the effect of barium sulfate is hardly produced. In the case of >5.0 wt.%, toner particles are liable to precipitate because of high specific gravity of barium sulfate.
