PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread winder by which generation of excessive vibration due to imbalance is prevented even when a thread is wound at a high speed and the thread is wound up into a high quality package. SOLUTION: In a thread winder provided with a bobbin holder 4, a driving shaft 6, a driving means 9, and a ring type supporting body 20, a fastening part between the bobbin holder 4 and the driving shaft 6 satisfies the following formula: Imin /Lsk >2.25×10<-2> . (D0 <2> -D1 <2> ).LB/1000}. Imin represents a minimum value (mm<4> ) of the geometrical moment of inertia of the driving shaft 6 to a rotary shaft, Lsk represents a fastening part length (mm) of the driving shaft 6, D0 represents an outside diameter maximum value (mm) of a bobbin installed to the bobbin holder 4, D1 represents an inside diameter minimum value (mm) of the bobbin installed to the bobbin holder 4, and LB represents an overall length (mm) of the bobbin installed to the bobbin holder 4.
