PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the consumption of a recording medium at the time of recording while maintaining a stream of conversation by providing a data compressing means which compresses data of a voiceless sound frame to be recorded, a recording means which records data of a voiced sound frame and the voiceless sound frame to be recorded, etc. SOLUTION: A digital signal process part(DSP) 5 compresses a digital signal and sends the compressed signal out to a data I/O buffer 10 under the control of a control circuit 9. Under the control of a main control circuit 11, the signal from the data I/O buffer 10 is recorded on a recording medium 13. To reproduce the voice signal, a recording medium control circuit 12 reads out the voice signal recorded on the recording medium 13 under the control of the main control circuit 11. The read voice signal is sent to the DSP 5 through the data I/O buffer 10. The DSP 5 expands and restores the voice signal to the digital voice signal before compression. |
