The unit comprises a planar support (1) carrying an electronic circuit (2, 3) on one face including conductive tracks (2), passive components (2a) and integrated electronic devices (3) connected to the conductive tracks (2) by thin conductive filaments (4). The support is mounted in a chamber of an insulating container (7, 8) which is partially filled with a gel (not shown) which covers the electronic circuit (2, 2a, 3). Partitions (11) project from at least one wall of the container (11) and surround those zones of the chamber (2) which overlie the electronic devices (3), reducing the movement of the insulating gel in these zones.
