The invention concerns a device for generating at least one water jet (10; 110; 210), in particular a fountain jet, with at least one outlet opening (4; 104; 204) forming the cross-section of the emerging water jet (10; 110; 210) and a passage chamber (2; 102; 202) guiding pressurized water in the flow direction before the outlet opening (4; 104; 204). The device is designed such that the passage chamber (2; 102; 202) takes the form of a settling chamber with a widened cross-section for generating a slow, low-turbulence stream of water. The outlet opening (4; 104; 204) forms a separation cross-section for the water jet (10; 110; 210), said separation cross-section lying in the region of the wall with the outlet opening (4; 104; 204). |
