FIELD: welding with use of chambers, cutting, quenching and other technological operations that may be realized by means of hot tongue of gas or plasma. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing gas or plasma torch inside chamber and simultaneously increasing pressure in chamber and in torch; selecting pressure level in dependance upon technological operations, thickness of article and its material. Relation of pressure values in chamber and in torch with inner heat source is matched with near-sound velocity of gas and in torch with outer heat source - with limit stable burning. EFFECT: high intensity of process due to increased rate, enhanced quality, increased limit thickness of articles, metal economy, enlarged functional possibility. 2 cl, 3 dwgu
