PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a laser beam spot and to increase a recording density by passing the beam released from a beam generating source through an optical fiber and irradiating the recording surface of a master disk with this beam. SOLUTION: A slider 30 moves in the radial direction of the master disk 11 in the state of maintaining contact with the recording surface 12 of the master disk 11 by a linear stepping motor. The master disk 11 is rotated in this state by a driving motor 13. The one end of the optical fiber 60 is fixed by an adhesive to the slider 30 and a metallic coating film having a hole of <=1 μm in diameter is formed at the end face of the optical fiber. The light beam generated by the beam generating source 70 is made incident on the other end face of the optical fiber 60 via a shutter 80 and a converging lens 90. The slider 30 is slightly floated by the air flow atop the master disk 11 and the recording surface 12 is irradiated with the laser beam in the state of the diameter of <=1 μm, by which information is recorded. |
