PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely monitor the erroneous connection, non-connection, falling or disconnection of a cable by generating ID numbers corresponding to connectors in a plurality of substrates, multiplexing and sending communication information and the ID numbers to a mating substrate, dividing two bits of multiplexed information into the communication information and the ID number on a receiving side and comparing this with its own ID number. SOLUTION: Connector intrinsic connection ID numbers (14a, 14b, 24a and 24b) are multiplexed with bits of communication information (11a, 11b, 21a and 21b), and since the normality (or erroneous connection) of cables (3 and 4) is monitored by making comparison between substrate's own ID number and mating substrate's ID number with comparators (14A, 14B, 24A and 24B), accessing to the communication mating substrate is made unnecessary, the necessity of providing a special signal line in the cables (3 and 4) is eliminated, and thus monitoring of the erroneous connection of cables or the like is surely carried out by a simple means within a short time. |
