PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transferring device that can transfer an excellent image inexpensively without causing soiling of an end part, and a defective transfer. SOLUTION: This transferring device is constituted so as to transfer a developed image on the image carrier 1 on a member to be transferred 81 by passing the member to be transferred 81 in a contact state between the semiconductor member 43 of a contact transferring means 41 where the semiconductor member 43 whose resistance value is <=10<9>Ω.cm is brought into contact with a conductive member 44 and the image carrier 1. In this case, a high resistance member 47 is provided between the semiconductor member 43 and the conductive member 44 in the vicinity of an end part where the image carrier 1 and the semiconductor member 43 are brought into contact when the member to be transferred 81 passes.
