PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of surely extracting a main part and a photographic printer capable of attaining optimum printing by deciding an exposure, based on the main part extracted with the application of the image processor. SOLUTION: A control part 40 extracts a region assumed to be the face of a person, based on image data obtained by a CCD image sensor 32, in an image recorded on a negative film 12 and lets the extracted face region appear on a display 42. An operator judges whether the result of the extraction is correct or not by referring to the face region appearing on the display 42 and specifies the nearly center position of the face region to be extracted by a keyboard 44, when the result is not correct The control part, 40 extracts the face region, based on the position specified by the operator, when the result is not correct, so that the exposure is decided on the basis of the image data of the extracted face region, to attain printing. |
