PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery having a excellent radiation resistance, a light weight, and a high conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: On an undoped semiconductor substrate 10, a lower electrode layer 11 is provided to form a solar battery layer 2 in one portion above the lower electrode layer 11 and a lower electrode 4 in another portion. An upper electrode layer 16 and an upper electrode 3 are provided on the solar battery layer 2. Since the undoped semiconductor substrate 10 is used, there is also no effect on the characteristic of a solar battery caused by the variation of its resistivity which is generated by projecting a radiation on it. Further, since its light transmission characteristic is also excellent, the high conversion efficiency of the solar battery is obtained when a mechanical-lamination type structure is given to the solar battery. |
