PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the radiation image forming assembly capable of forming a radiation image wide in latitude and superior in sensitivity and sharpness. SOLUTION: This radiation image forming assembly comprises a silver halide photographic sensitive material provided on one side of a support with a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and one radiation-sensitization screen arranged on the side of the emulsion layer. The fluorescent material layer of this screen contains the fluorescent material and a binder in a weight ratio of 99.9:0.1-97:3, and the screen is filled with the fluorescent material in an amount of >=65%, and the fluorescent material has an average particle diameter of 0.3-7μm, and theγ1 of the characteristic curve of the radiation image formed by the screen and the photosensitive material is 1.8-2.3.
