PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to generate address book data without letting a user input all of address data, zip code data, and telephone number data. SOLUTION: For example, a data base 7 stores town name data in address data and zip code data assigned to them correspondingly to each other, and also stores city, ward, town, and village name data in the address data and area code data assigned to them so that they correspond to each other respectively. Here, when address data is inputted through an input means 1, a converting means 4 converts the inputted address data into zip code data according to its town name data by referring to the data base 7, and also converts the address data into area code data according to its city, ward, town, and village name data. Then, the inputted address data, and the zip code data and area code data obtained by the converting means 4 are displayed by a display means 6 and the displayed data are edited by a user and stored in a storage means 5. |
