PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with improved safety during a temperature rise. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte battery has a positive electrode capable of storing/releasing lithium ions, a negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte of lithium ion conductivity. The battery contains a thermosensible microcapsule in which material is incorporated to prevent the reaction of the battery during a temperature rise so that heat, if generated by the malfunction of the battery, does not get to a thermorunaway starting temperature. |
