<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a concentration of a suspended matter in a solution by obtaining a correlation of a total residue on evaporation and a specified gravity of the solution and a correlation of a soluble residue on evaporation and temperature of boiling point elevation, and measuring the specific gravity of the solution and the boiling-point elevation temperature. SOLUTION: A correlation of a total amount of a soluble salt and a suspended matter of a solution including the soluble salt to be measured and the suspended matter, that is, a total residue on evaporation and a specific gravity of the solution is obtained, and a correlation formula with the specific gravity as a function, i.e., the total surface on evaporation (wt.%) = f(specific gravity) is obtained. A correlation of boiling-point elevation temperature of the solution because of the soluble salt and a soluble residue on evaporation, i.e., the soluble salt is obtained, thereby obtaining a correlation formula with the boiling-point elevation temperature being the function, namely, the soluble residue on evaporation (wt.%) = f(boiling- point elevation temperature). A specific gravity of a solution a concentration of a suspended matter of which is to be estimated and boiling-point elevation temperature are measured. A concentration of each of a total residue on evaporation and a soluble residue on evaporation are obtained from the above two correlation formulae. A concentration difference of the total residue on evaporation and soluble residue on evaporation is obtained, which is a concentration of the suspended matter.</p> |
