FLAT TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an area of a region which does not contribute to displaying of a flat type display device. SOLUTION: A transference electrode 16 is formed on an upper surface and end face of a lower glass substrate 15. On a substrate 11 for terminals, a same number of electrodes 20 are formed at positions corresponding to plural transparent electrodes 16 on the end face of the glass substrate 15. An adhesive 14 contains conductive particles 19, and when the substrate 11 for terminals is pressed against a side face of a liquid crystal panel for compressing the adhesive 14 and baked, the transparent electrode 16 on the end face 15a of the lower side glass substrate 15 is electrically connected with the electrodes 20 of the substrate 11 for terminals by the conductive articles.
