PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which reduces losses of light generated from an organic layer when it emerges to the outside through a glass substrate. SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element comprises a glass substrate 1, a transparent hole injection electrode 2 formed on the glass substrate 1, an organic layer 3 formed on the hole injection electrode 2, and an electron injection electrode 4 formed on the organic layer 3. In this case, an AR (Anti- Reflection) coat 5 is formed on the light emission side of the glass substrate 1 for the purpose of lowering reflection factor of said light emission surface with respect to outgoing light from the organic layer 3. |
