PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize prominent illumination having a high observation effect by performing turning operation after attaching a polarization switching means between an illuminating light introducing part and an illuminating light guiding part. SOLUTION: Illuminating light irradiating the surface of a part to be observed of a sample to be examined is guided to a light guiding cylinder for illumination 4 through an optical cable for guiding light 11. In such a case, by selectively and moderately operating and turning a turning switching ring after attaching not only a holding attaching frame body but also the polarization switching means 61 between the illuminating light introducing part 21 and the 1st illuminating light guiding part 31, the light guiding slit of the polarization switching member is positionally set at each angle part over every angle range of about 180 deg. in circumference which is sectionalized, and the introduced illuminating light is allowed to restrictedly pass only through the light guide slit corresponding to the angle range at the angle position. Thus, shade caused by the minute ruggedness on the surface of the part to be observed is much more emphasized. |
