SOLID-STATE RELAY AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely seal an unnecessary terminal part with sealing resin, by forming a notched part in a resin mold region corresponding to the unnecessary terminal part of a solid-state relay, and sealing the notched part with sealing resin. SOLUTION: A notched part 16 is formed in a resin mold part 14. A lead terminal stretching from a lead frame 13c is cut and eliminated in the course of manufacturing, and an unnecessary terminal part 17 is formed. The notched part 16 is arranged corresponding to the unnecessary terminal part 17. The notched part 16 is sealed with sealing resin 18 like epoxy resin as insulating resin. The unnecessary part 17 has a distance of 0.4 mm or more from the surface of the sealing resin 18. The solid-state relay specification of AC 250V rating of the international standard IEC950 is satisfied. Thereby the unnecessary terminal part can be surely sealed with sealing resin, so that reliability to insulation can be increased.
