发明名称 Rotor head fairing in combination with an aircraft rotor head
摘要 1,075,590. Rotary wing aircraft. UNITED AIRCRAFT CORPORATION. Dec. 15, 1965 [Dec. 16, 1964], No. 53227/65. Heading B7W. [Also in Division E2] The rotor head of a rotary wing aircraft is covered by a fairing which has a cut-out for each blade and is moved relative to the rotor head to permit lead lag movements of the rotor blades. The fairing comprises upper and lower sections 106, 108 fixed together and surmounted by a dome 102 fixed to the tops of the drag hinge mountings, which are inside the fairing, by quick release stud and socket fastenings 164 (see Division E2, or Fig. 4, not shown). The fairing is mounted on the outer ends of arms (252, Fig. 3, not shown) mounted on splined downward extensions of the drag hinge pins 60 to pivot therewith. Each lever has a splined ring surrounded by a band of resilient material (255) which allows slight relative pivoting between the hinge pin and the lever. The top portion of each cut-out is faired by a frangible member (207), Fig. 2, not shown) which leaves an opening large enough for normal blade flapping, and which can be broken or deformed by the blade if abnormal flapping occurs. Seals 200, 212 are provided which allow the fairing to move relatively to the rotor pylon 12 and the dome 102 respectively.
