PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store induced electromotive forces generated in coils wound around super-magnetostriction elements by the running loads in a storing means, by providing the super-magnetostriction elements which are respectively positioned below rails and wound with the coils and the storing means which stores the induced electromotive forces generated in the coils. SOLUTION: Holes (a) are bored into a cross-tie 2 below rails 1 and super- magnetostriction elements 4 wound with coils 7 are respectively put in the holes 2 so that the upper ends of the elements 4 may come into contact with the rails 1. Then, one terminals 7a of the coils 7 are connected to the rails 1 and the other terminals 7b are connected to a common line and, further, to a battery. Therefore, when a train 01 runs on the rails 1, the elements 4 are compression-deformed downward by the load of the train 01 through the rails 1 and magnetic fields are generated along the axes of the coils 7 due to reverse magnetostriction effects. As a result, induced electromotive forces are generated in the coils 7 and stored in the battery for future use. |
