<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrostatic latent image developing toner having excellent flowing stability and environmental stability for electrification by using titanium oxide as an external additive treated with a specified compd. by specified wt.%. SOLUTION: Titanium oxide treated with a compd. expressed by formula (R1 )n -Si(OR2 )4-n by 10 to 30 wt.% is used as an external additive. In the formula, R1 is 2 to 6C alkyl group, R2 is 1 to 2C alkyl group, and n is an integer 1 to 3. The compd. expressed by the formula is incorporated by 10 to 30 wt.% of the whole weight of the titanium oxide. If the amt. is <10 wt.%, fluidity can not be maintained. If the amt. exceeds 30 wt.%, electrification stability is hardly maintained. As for the titanium oxide, fine particles of titanium oxide are preferable considering the fluidity. As for the treatment of titanium oxide fine particles with a coupling agent, any well-known method can be used and the titanium oxide itself is not specified.</p> |
