PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow coverage measuring device which is highly reliable, hardly affected by background light and capable of accurately measuring. SOLUTION: Provided are a light emitter 1 radiating a fan-shape beam with rectangular cross section in a specified wavelength zone, a light receiver 2 photographing only the light equal to the wavelength zone of the beam emitted from the light emitter 1, and a control processing means 3 calculating snow coverage depth from the output of the light receiver 2 using the light cutting method. The light emitter 1 and the light receiver 2 are arranged on the snow surface to be measured separately for a certain distance and the control processing means 3 differential-processes the signal image and background image. |
