PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 2D/3D image display device capable of high-luminance 2D display. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a light source 1, which emits a parallel light beam, a lenticular lens 15, which converges the parallel light beam, a diffuser 5, which slightly diffuses the light beam made incident from the lenticular lens 15, and an LCD 6, on which the light beam from the diffuser 5 is made incident, and the lenticular lens 15 changes in the distance to the diffuser 5 according as which of a two-dimensional and a three-dimensional image is displayed. The lenticular lens 15 converges the parallel light beam so that it is focused on the diffuser 5 for the three-dimensional image display and in front of the diffuser 5 for the two-dimensional image display, thereby displaying the two-dimensional image. |
