PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of the movement and substitution of a cassette between plural automatic teller machines(ATMs) and to make it possible to use the system for a group circulation by using each cassette also as a paper money box and moving paper money between the ATMs. SOLUTION: When a controller detects that the number of sheets of paper money stored in a 1,000-yen box/cassette 111 in an ATM 101 is larger than the number of sheets set by a user, a replenishing/recovering device 601 is moved to the side of the recovery requesting ATM 101. Then the box/cassette 11 is pulled out from the ATM 101 to the device 601 by a cassette moving tray 610. Paper money corresponding to the number of sheets requested to be recovered is recovered from the box/cassette 111 loaded to the device 601 to a 1,000-yen box 612 stored in the device 601. At this time, the controller counts up the number of recovered sheets, and at the time of judging that recovery of the required number of sheets to the box 612 has ended, stops the recovery of paper money. Then the box/cassette 111 is returned to the ATM 101. |
