SYNCHRONOUS REPRODUCTION CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CODED VIDEO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the synchronous reproduction control method and system for a coded video image where out of synchronism of synchronous reproduction of video and audio signals is prevented. SOLUTION: A generating section 21 of a center 2 provides the same time stamp as a header of a transfer packet and generates a video transfer packet in the case that video frame data are the same. A generating section 22 generates an audio transfer packet with a prescribed time stamp provided thereto. A synchronization edit section 23 compares a time stamp of the video signal with that of the audio signal, rearranges the signals in the order of earlier time and edits the result as a transfer packet. A communication terminal 1 compares the time stamp of the video signal with the time stamp of the audio signal based on the time stamp imparted to the audio transfer packet. When the time stamp provided to the video transfer packet is in lead, a video decoding section 9 decodes the data sequentially in the unit of video frames. When the time stamp is delayed, a video buffer 5 buffers the data to synchronize the video transfer packet with the reproduced audio data.
