PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color image forming device capable of restraining the rubbing of an image and color slurring. SOLUTION: In this color image forming device, an image is primarily transferred from a photoreceptor drum 5 to a transfer belt 1 plural times in a 1st transfer part 9, and then a toner image superposed is secondarily transferred from the transfer belt 1 to recording paper 3 in a 2nd transfer part 4. When it is assumed that the radius of a secondary transfer backup roller 11 is (r), the carrying speed of the recording paper 3 is V, the rotating speed and the radius of the photoreceptor drum 5 are (n) and R, respectively, and the thickness of the transfer belt 1 is (t), R=(60/2πn)*((r+t/2)/(r+t))*V-t/2 is satisfied.
