PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tortion actuator and a flap driver capable of enlarging a tortional angle and a tortional torque output, and capable of reducing the size and weight, preventing the generation of deflection surely. SOLUTION: A tortion actuator 10 is constituted by arranging four platelike actuator elements 11 so as to cross each other at 90 degrees with X-axis being tortional axis at the center, and each actuator element 11 is constituted by sticking a plurality of striplike piezoelectric elements 13 to both surfaces of a tabular board 12 composed of a metal, a composite material, and so on. The piezoelectric elements 13 are fixed to both surfaces of the board 12 with a conductive adhesive agent 14. Plane electrodes 13a facing the board 12 are connected electrically to the board 12, and the parts between external plane electrodes 13a and the board 12 are connected to driving circuits 20 respectively. |
