A sound recuperator, designed to trap sound emitted at the sides and rear of a loudspeaker transducer (2), consists of panels (1) made from a material or alloy which has the same acoustic characteristics as glass, perspex or crystal. The recuperator can be located inside an acoustic chamber, and its side panels need not be parallel. It has top and bottom panels which can be inclined. The dimensions of the recuperator depend on those of the loudspeaker, and can be, for example, 150 cm high by 50 cm wide by 40 cm deep and 0.8 cm thick.
