PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound field controller where a spatial impression being a psychological quantity of human being is directly inputted by a listener and a desired spatial impression is surely realized. SOLUTION: When a listener uses a spatial property input means 13 to input a desired typical space, its acoustic data are selected from a storage section 15. Furthermore, the listener simultaneously inputs a spatial impression in the space. An arithmetic means 14 calculates new acoustic data based on a physical parameter corresponding to the impression and the acoustic data selected from the storage section 15. Then a received audio signal is processed by using the calculated new acoustic data and a sound with a desired atmosphere is reproduced from a speaker 17 through an amplifier 16.
