PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify execution in a short time and improve the visibility for the boundary of each tread by providing a lighting member illuminating the tread so that its front end edge portion is made dark and the other portion is made bright as seen from the descending direction on each tread of a stairway. SOLUTION: A tread 1 is illuminated by the light source 2 of a lighting member installed on the back side of the tread 1 so that its front end edge portion 11 is made dark and the upper face portion 12 other than the front end edge portion 11 is made bright, for example, and the distinction between both portions can be easily seen. A small, high-luminance LED is preferably used for the light source 2, the installation space is reduced, and the tread 1 can be illuminated in various color tones. A cover body 3 serving as an illumination adjusting member may be provided on the light source 2, the cover body 3 is formed with a material having low transparency at the peripheral section and high transparency at the central section, and the illumination boundary between the front edge end portion 11 and upper face portion 12 becomes further clear. Electric power is fed via a harness connector 4 connected with the electric wires of the light source 2. |
