<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous supply of gas to a gas cylinder and improve the reliability of an automatic gas cylinder tracking system by providing a data storage means and a data read and write means which are connected with individual gas cylinder and sending out data collected in the data storage means to a host computer with the purpose of pursuit and reporting. SOLUTION: A plurality of inventory control collars 100 are accessed by inventory control probes 300 provided with an internal microprocessor and a power supply, and each probe 300 accesses sequentially through a LAN interface 810 by a host computer 800. It retrieves and displays information concerning a specific cylinder on a work station 820. After inputting the required information into the host computer 800, the information required for the initialization of the collar 100 is recorded by a data read and write means. This recorded value is compared with a value which is stored, and the operation of the specific cylinder is controlled in accordance with the results of the comparison.</p> |
