IRREVERSIBLE CIRCUIT ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the irreversible circuit element with a smaller size and high performance in which characteristics such as insertion loss are improved. SOLUTION: A permanent magnet 17 is placed to at least one of outsides of a microwave magnetic body 16 of the circuit element in the broadwise direction and the surrounding of the magnet 17 is enclosed by magnetic yoke 18, 19. In this case, a thickness A of the microwave magnetic body 16 and a distance B between a side face 16a of the magnetic yoke 18 and a part 18a opposed to the side face 16a is selected to be B>0.5A. Then a DC magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet 17 is applied to the microwave magnetic body 16 efficiently.
